If you’re bored of waiting for CD Projekt to fix Cyberpunk 2077, you can now go snowboarding in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. Get it?
As spotted by PCGamesN, there’s a new mod called Geralt VGX Snowboarder over on Nexus Mods which allows the silver-haired monster hunter to go carve up the mountain, thanks. In order to do this, you have to head to the altar overlooking the Kaer Trolde bay in Skellige to pick up the snowboard. This can be equipped as either a weapon or as boots, but in order to actually snowboard, you have to equip it as the latter. You can wield it as a weapon, but we’re not sure how effective it would be at killing men or monsters.
During development, CD Projekt had some fun with the skidding mechanic that they made a joke snowboarding game featuring Geralt sliding down mountains, according to the behind the scenes documentary made by NoClip.
Back in 2019, we rounded up the best mods for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, including ones that allow you to fast travel anywhere and make the game look even prettier. Last year, a mod launched that totally revamped how The Witcher 3’s world looked.
Ahead of The Witcher TV show debuting on Netflix, there was even a mod that introduced Henry Cavill as Geralt into Wild Hunt.
One of the big modding projects for The Witcher 3 was Wolvenkit, with one of the software’s creators Traderain saying that he had begun to upgrade the tech to support the recently-released Cyberpunk 2077.
